THE STORY
It began with a bunny.
While preparing for the exhibition, TAROUT heard a story during conversations with Paul Smith Japan about Paul, a bunny and good luck. One question led to BUNNY PAUL: what if Paul really had found the bunny?
Each picture leads to another, with different paths to choose along the way. The 80 artworks once filled the gallery walls. This web edition lets you explore them at your own pace.
THE EXHIBITION · 2011–2012
Welcome to BUNNY LAND.
In the winter of 2011, Paul Smith SPACE Gallery in Jingumae, Tokyo, became BUNNY LAND. Bunnies stepped out of the pictures to welcome visitors.
A story across the walls.
Framed pictures filled the gallery, inviting visitors to follow the artworks and walk through the story.

At the entrance stood the BUNNY LAND sign that also appears in the artworks.

With ears bearing Paul Smith’s iconic stripes, LUCKY BUNNY LUNNY took three-dimensional form and joined the exhibition.

Sweets from the story appeared at the reception, including cream puffs with bunny ears.
